Paced - Find balance in your day-to-day
iOS / Android app
Paced is a calendar app that connects with Apple Health to surface insights about activity, sleep, and recovery - helping people plan their days without burning out. I led the product design, design system creation, and website design.
Problem
Modern work-life blends tasks, meetings, and personal commitments into one never-ending stream. While productivity tools keep us organized, they rarely factor in physical and mental well-being.
Users often:
Overbook themselves without accounting for rest.
Ignore health data because it’s siloed away in separate apps.
Fail to spot patterns between activity levels and work performance.
Goal: Create a unified view of schedule and health—helping users make informed decisions that balance output with recovery.
Research & Insights
Targeting busy professionals who track health metrics. Key takeaways:
People open their calendar multiple times a day, but health apps only occasionally.
Many underestimate the impact of poor sleep on next-day performance.
Users value light-touch guidance over rigid rules—nudges rather than nags.
Design system
Built a robust component library to speed up development and maintain visual consistency:
Color palette emphasizing calm, trust, and clarity.
Typography hierarchy with distinct visual weights for time, events, and insights.
Components like insight cards, event modals, and alert banners—reusable across the app and marketing site.
Marketing Website
I also designed the landing page and blog, ensuring the product story extended beyond the app:
Landing page focuses on benefits first, features second.
Blog serves as a content hub on work-life balance and healthy productivity.
